This Christmas the Pine Rivers community are uniting to provide Christmas cheer for more than 200 needy Queenslanders.
Donations have been collected at numerous local businesses, community groups, churches and from individuals.
On Sunday 15 December volunteers will gather to place gifts in over 200 baskets and on 18 December families will arrive to collect their hampers.
“Christmas is a tough time for families facing financial difficulties and parents and children in domestic violence situations,” Pine Rivers Uniting Church Pastor Jason Brown said. “We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our local community.”
