Pine Rivers Church is a family church in Moreton Bay North Brisbane committed to the good news of Jesus Christ, and sharing that hope with our community.
We are a Bible believing church and member church of the Uniting Church in Australia. We are passionate about sharing the good news of Jesus, growing as disciples and servicing our local Pine Rivers and North Brisbane community. In our church we welcome people with no church background and people from different church backgrounds including Baptist, Pentecostal, Non-denominational, Anglican and Church of Christ to name a few. “For God so Loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Jesus Christ
– We believe in the work and teachings of Jesus Christ the living Son of God, who came into this world, was crucified, buried and raised to life on the third day so that we might be reconciled with God the Father and have eternal life in fellowship with Him. Jesus said, ” I am the way the truth and the life.”
Holy Spirit
– We believe God the Holy Spirit indwells and actively ministers to His people as revealed in the Bible. The Holy Spirit, as an indwelling presence, provides spiritual gifts, guidance, wisdom, and strength for spiritual growth. The Holy Spirit is moving and at work in everyday life.
Bible
– We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God.
Prayer
– We believe in prayer, its power to heal and guide, and as an expression of our intimacy with God.
Preaching
– We believe that our preaching and teaching should be Bible-based and culturally relevant whilst retaining doctrinal integrity.
Worship
– We believe worship is a lifestyle, not an event, and our true worship is shown through the sacrificial offering of our lives in service to God and others.
Church
– We believe Jesus is the head of the Church and that we have the responsibility as His body to serve and minister in the community and the church with the many and varied God=given gifts and abilities.
Evangelism
– We believe every person is made in the image of God and that God seeks to be reconciled with all people. Hence, we are called to make Jesus known to people and to nurture them as His followers.
Community
– We believe that by fostering relationships with God and each other we develop a sense of Christian community and belonging for all members of the congregation.
Love
– We believe God calls each of us in His strength, to act honestly and with compassion and to demonstrate forgiveness and humility on a daily basis.
